Three-In-One
Wrap-Up
3-in-1 in us
Followers of Jesus must seek and learn the truth about
- God the Father
- God the Son
- God the Spirit
because
- they love him and want to know him more and more
- they are called to live in light and truth
- because the world is filled with lies, partial-lies, and near-truths about God.
We must protect our hearts, minds, and souls by both knowing and believing the three-in-one God who is truth himself.
Followers of Jesus must seek and learn the truth about who they are as
- God's children
because
- their identity is found only in Christ;
- they are called to live in light and truth;
- because the world is filled with lies, partial-lies, and near-truths about humanity.
We must protect our hearts, minds, and souls by both knowing and believing what God says is true about his rescued and redeemed people.
Look back and reflect on what you’ve read, heard, studied, and learned about the only true three-in-one God who lives in his children so his children can live in him, love him, and love each other.

In the first 500 years of Christianity, the church wrote various creeds to proclaim the most important truths from the Bible. The creeds state doctrines that all followers of Jesus should know. Doctrines are simply statements of truth based on what the Bible says.
The Apostle’s Creed is the oldest known creed. It includes statements about: God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, the Church, forgiveness, eternal life, and more.
Some of the creeds were written to correct heresies that were being taught and spread about Jesus’ divinity and humanity. A heresy is a belief contrary to orthodox (agreed upon and accepted) doctrine.
